The Docklands Light Railway winds its way around the Isle of Dogs or Canary Wharf as its more commonly known, and almost all of the track is elevated on concrete pillars, both to stop it interfering with ground level structures, but also to cross the various areas of water.

These two images were taken on the 1st November 2003 as a DLR train crosses the elevated track over Middle dock between Canary Wharf station and Heron Quays. The stock is in the old Blue, red and white livery and is most likely B92 stock. Immediately behind me was the entrance to Canary Wharf underground station.

Since these images were taken a lot of building work has happened and the clear sky in the background is no longer there as a number of large buildings have gone up at that end of the Canary Wharf estate.
