Riding the Docklands Light Railway is often described as being like riding a rollercoaster as much of the track is elevated and supported on concrete pillars and it rises and falls between stations.

The other great thing about DLR trains is that they have no driver. This means that its possible to sit at the front of the train and see the tracks rolling out in front of you. In the picture above the train has just left Tower Gateway station and on the left you can see the C2C tracks going into Fenchurch Street station, and just ahead you can see where the DLR tracks converge from the underground section at Bank station.
Because part of the train can run in tunnel all the sets are fitted with a door at the front in case of a breakdown so that passengers can escape.

No driver gives an excellent view especially when another train passes in the opposite direction.
