An afternoon (12:40) all stations Metropolitan line train to Chesham stops at Farringdon station on the Metropolitan and Circle lines. The train is composed of S8 stock, the main difference between these and the S7 stock is the number of cars (S7 has 7, S8 has 8, but there are a few S7 with an extra car on the Metropolitan line) and also the seating. The S7 stock has exclusively ‘metro’ seating arranged facing into the car along the sides of each carriage, but the S8 contains seating forward and rear facing in groups of 4 in addition to the ‘metro’ style seating.
Also note the Poppy emblem on the front of the driving car.
